On the banks of the Duero, (900 meters above sea level) in small plots of calcareous soil, white grape vines grow intermingled with Tempranillo strains. This variety, called Albillo Mayor, was planted since time immemorial in our towns, as a blend variety, with which claret was obtained and which also served as a dessert for grape harvesters during harvest time.
