The 2022 Tenuta Vergaia pours a deep red hue and is immediately expressive, with notes of blueberry, violet, red fruit highlights, polished leather, cocoa, and sweet spice. This release is composed of 45% Cabernet Franc, 38% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot, aged in 100% new oak for 15 months, followed by additional year in bottle before release. Full-bodied, it is ripe and supple, with a more pliant texture and approachable tannin profile. The wine carries good freshness and balance, with a long, even finish. While more accessible in its youth, it retains enough structure to develop gracefully over the next 10-15 years.
