A stylish, elegant wine, very much in the understated way of Saint-Julien, this wine is balanced and full of potential. Its black-currant fruit, licorice aroma and touch of spice all hang together well.

A solid St.-Julien, showing poise and some complexity. Fine-grained, dusty tannins on the palate, with medium to full body and a long finish. Drink from 2026.

The 2023 Chateau du Glana offers light tobacco and gravelly scents on the nose that needs more fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of greenness on the entry, but it actually enhances this Saint-Julien. Very old-school in style, there is undeniable freshness, and I appreciate the crunchiness on the finish.
