Jeb Dunnuck 91+pt

Lots of spice, darker raspberry and cherry fruits, and some floral notes all define the 2020 Chateau Haut Rocher, another incredibly impressive 2020 with terrific purity, a tight, focused mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. An interesting blend of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, it's going to benefit from just a few years of bottle age and keep for a good decade.

James Suckling 93pt

Aromas of blackberries, crushed stones, mushroom, and hints of hazelnut follow through to a medium body, firm palate and a fresh and linear finish. Extremely well done. 65% merlot, 20% cabernet franc, 12% cabernet sauvignon and 3% malbec. Drink after 2025.

Wine Advocate 91-93pt

Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Haut Rocher comes barreling out of the glass with bold scents of baked black plums, boysenberries and blackberry pie, plus suggestions of eucalyptus, dark chocolate, cedar chest and unsmoked cigars. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of ripe, black fruits, framed by plush, rounded tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and earthy.
